شد جوانی را حج اسلام فوت
از دلش آهی برون آمد بصوت

بود سفیان حاضر آنجا غم زده
آن جوان را گفت ای ماتم زده

چار حج دارم برین درگاه من
میفروشم آن بدین یک آه من

آن جوان گفتا خریدم و او فروخت
آن نکو بخرید وین نیکو فروخت

دید آن شب ای عجب سفیان بخواب
کآمدی از حق تعالیش این خطاب

کز تجارت سود بسیار آمدت
گر بکاری آمد این بار آمدت

شد همه حجها قبول از سود تو
تو زحق خشنود و او خشنود تو

کعبه اکنون خاک جان پاک تست
گر حجست امروز برفتراک تست

English translation

A young man missed the Islamic Hajj pilgrimage, From his heart, an audible sigh came forth. Sufyan was present there, grief-stricken, And said to that mourning young man: 'I have four Hajj pilgrimages at this Court, I will sell them for this one sigh of yours.' That young man said, 'I bought them,' and he sold; That one bought well, and this one sold well. That night, oh wonder, Sufyan saw in a dream, That this address came to him from God the Exalted: 'Great profit has come to you from this trade, If anything was of use, it was this occasion. All the pilgrimages were accepted because of your profit, You are pleased with God, and He is pleased with you. The Kaaba is now the pure dust of your soul, If there is a Hajj today, it is attached to your saddle.'
