گفت ذوالنون است کان دانای راز
چون کند از هم بساط مجد باز

گر گناه اولین و آخرین
بیش باشد ز آسمانها و زمین

برحواشی بساطش آن گناه
محو گردد جمله بر یک جایگاه

گر شود خورشیدنور افشان دمی
محو گردد صد جهان ظلمت همی

قطرهٔ چند ازگنه گر شد پلید
در چنان دریا کجا آید پدید

نه همه آنجایگه طاعت خرند
عجز نیز و ضعف هر ساعت خرند

English translation

Dhul-Nun said, He who is the Knower of Secrets, When He unrolls the carpet of His glory, Even if the sins of the first and the last Are greater than the heavens and the earth, On the margins of His carpet, those sins Will all be entirely erased in a single place. If a sun shines its light for a moment, A hundred worlds of darkness will simultaneously vanish. If a few drops became polluted with sin, How can they appear in such an ocean? They do not solely buy obedience in that place, They also buy helplessness and weakness at every hour.
