English translation

The seeker, like a guardian over a secret, Went before Michael like a desperate one. He said, "O commander of every treasury, Without you, one can never eat even a grain of millet. O you who hold the keys of the world in your hand, Bearer of the Throne, and the Footstool is below you. Clouds and rain are but a drop of your ocean, Sustenance and daily bread are crumbs from your table. Every night, heart-illumination comes from you, And again every day, new sustenance arrives. If you did not provide any provision for a day, How would a dewdrop ever settle on any leaf? And if you twist the reins of the wind for a moment, When would a pleasant breeze blow in the world? Until eternity, the verdure of creations is from you, Thunder and lightning, snow and rain are from you. When you refresh the infant of the garden From the breast of the cloud with unstinting milk, Upon the face of its garden, for the sake of joy, You draw a rainbow for that infant. So that when it can sit with this bow, Perhaps the 'distance of two bows' may come into its hand. I am the infant of love, nurture me too, So that you may bring me out of this mourning." When Michael heard the story and the secret, He said, "O poor one, on a long path! I, who am Michael, what am I doing here? For the yearning for Truth and the love of religion, who am I? Sometimes held back by rain, sometimes by lightning, Day and night busy with the work of West and East. Thunder is a cry from my sorrowful heart, The wind is a trace of my cold sigh. Snow and rain are my abundant tears, Lightning is from my spark-raining soul. Sometimes from my sigh, the cloud becomes a veil, Sometimes from despair, it freezes. Look at my burning, boiling, and abundant tears, Raise your head finally and look at my affairs. Since I am myself bewildered by my own work, Day and night in my own pain and sorrow. You go, for this door will not be opened to you by me, It will not be opened to you except from within yourself." The seeker came before the elder and told the secret, He recounted his condition to the elder one by one. The elder told him, "He whose Michael this is, It is good of Him to grant grace and provision. Assistance reaches both worlds from Him, Granting provision until eternity reaches from Him. I see the soul of Michael as the passageway For the provision from the just King. Whoever does not see the Provider from the Presence, He is in polytheism, he is not a man of the path."
