English translation
The seeker came before Moses, impatient, He saw the season of Moses from Mount Sinai. He said, 'O your essence is the light of the two worlds, The nine heavens are not even a tenth of your signs. O you who found the divine treasure at night, Who found kingship from being a shepherd. If as a shepherd you held a flock in hand, Rather, in one night you gained everything. How did you know that with so many flocks, You would obtain all that along with all this? You came out of a blanket, O Kalim, In shepherdhood, you became an established king. In all the horizons, day and night, No shepherd finds such a daily bread. Since your daily bread became strong in shepherdhood, In shepherdhood you completed the night-journey. When your ear heard 'Indeed, I am Allah', Seven seas rose from one boil of yours. The fire of the Presence snatched you from your path, The amber of Truth snatched you like straw. Although the fire was a hundred years' journey from you, You reached that place in a single attraction. That fire made the world spacious for you, O all the greenness of that green branch! When you became selfless from the cup of selection, Your soul heard the word of God. When that word came out from the veils, Every single atom became another David. A hundred worlds full of intellect and consciousness were needed So that you would become an eternal ear in that place. Such a fortune that is yours eternally, Is specific to the Sultan, and you yourself are the Sultan. If you share a single atom of this fortune with me, My name will reach its zenith in both worlds.' Moses son of Amram said to him, 'O burnt one, Until you become a kindled fire, If you do not burn your soul and wear down your body completely, You will not find the path to the Beloved, and that is all. First, become weary of your own existence, Then, set to work with the love of non-existence. If you become a visionary in non-existence, You will become perceptive in the world of poverty. Absolute poverty is the specific coin of Mustafa, Without his acceptance, the work will not go right. When I saw his poverty and his high aspiration, I asked God Almighty to make me of his community. Since you are of his community, be glad, Serve him and be free. Take his path and seek his desire, In God's satisfaction, seek his satisfaction. You are a dead-hearted man and the path is long, Revive your soul with the breath of the possessor of the Psalms.' The seeker came before the pure-natured master, And explained to him what his difficulties were. The master said to him, 'O soul, Moses the Speaker with God Is the world of love and a great ocean. In the world of love, he takes the lead, He truly deserves love, by the Truth of Truth. Love is the treasure-house of both worlds, Whoever is not a lover, his claim is out of the game. One must wash one's face with one's own blood So that the bird of your soul is agile in love. Being a lover, if it is to be good in love, Killing oneself is its way. Whoever becomes familiar with love, His least offering is risking his life.'
