بوعلی طوسی امام قال وحال
کرده است از میرکاریز این سؤال

کز حق آمد راه سوی بنده باز
یا ز بنده سوی حق برگوی راز

گفت ره نه زین بدان نه زان بدین
لیک راه از حق بحق میدان یقین

نیست غیر او که دارد غیر دوست
گر حقیقت اوست ره زوهم بدوست

نیست غیر او و غیری چون بود
راه رو زوهم بدو موزون بود

English translation

Bu Ali Tusi, the Imam of discourse and spiritual state, Asked this question of Mir Kariz: 'Does the path open from God toward the servant, Or from the servant toward God? Tell the secret.' He replied, 'The path is neither from this to that, nor from that to this, But know for certain the path is from God to God. There is none other than Him, for He has no other as friend; If He is the Reality, the path is also from Him to Him. There is none other than Him, and how could there be another? The traveler on the path is also attuned to Him.'
