سجدهٔ میکرد ابلیس لعین
گفت عیسی در چه کاری این چنین

گفت من بیش از همه عمری دراز
سجده عادت کرده ام زانگاه باز

عادتم گشتست این زان میکنم
گرهمه سجده ست تاوان میکنم

عیسی مریم بدو گفت ای سقط
می ندانی هیچ و ره کردی غلط

تو یقین میدان که اندر راه او
نیست عادت لایق درگاه او

هرچه از عادت رود در روزگار
نیست آن را با حقیقت هیچ کار

وقف ابلیس است دنیا سر بسر
تو ازو میباز دزدی در بدر

هر که از ابلیس دزدد مال او
خود توان دانست فردا حال او

گر رود ابلیس از بازارها
کی رود بازارها را کارها

زانکه دنیا سر بسر بازار اوست
بیشتر بیع و شری از کار اوست

اوست مه بازار هر بازار و بس
کار دنیا نیست بی او یک نفس

English translation

The accursed Iblis was prostrating, Jesus said, 'What are you doing thus?' He said, 'More than anyone, over a long life, I have made prostration a habit since that time. This has become my habit, therefore I do it; Though all is prostration, I am paying a penalty.' Jesus of Mary said to him, 'O worthless one! You know nothing and have lost the way. Know for certain that on His path, Habit is not worthy of His court. Whatever proceeds from habit in this age, Has nothing to do with the Truth. The world, from end to end, is the endowment of Iblis, You are continually stealing from him from door to door. Whoever steals his wealth from Iblis, One can know well what his condition will be tomorrow. If Iblis departs from the marketplaces, When would the business of the markets ever run? Because the world, from end to end, is his marketplace, Most buying and selling is his doing. He is the chief of every market, and that is all, The business of the world does not exist without him for a single breath.'
