آن مخنث دید ماری را عظیم
جست همچون باد بر بامی ز بیم

گوییا جست آن زمان از زیر تیغ
گفت کاو مردی و سنگی ای دریغ

نیست نامردی تو در دست تو
خود ندارد زور تیر از شست تو

گرچه بسیاری نمایی رستمی
نیست ممکن از مخنث محکمی

گرچه نامی بس نکو کردت پدر
لیک ننگی آمدی تو ای پسر

English translation

That effeminate man saw a huge snake, He leaped like the wind onto a roof out of fear. As if he had leaped at that moment from beneath a sword, Someone said, "Where is manliness and fortitude, alas! Your unmanliness is not in your control, Your thumb itself lacks the strength for an arrow.
