رفت سنجر پیش زاهر ناگهی
گفت از وعظیم ده زاد رهی
شیخ زاهر گفت بشنو این سخن
چون شبانت کرد حق گرگی مکن
خانهٔ خلقی کنی زیر و زبر
تا براندازی سرافساری بزر
خون بریزی خلق را در صد مقام
تا خوری یک لقمهٔ وانگه حرام
خوشه چین کوی درویشان توئی
در گدا طبعی بتر زیشان توئی
English translation
Sanjar suddenly went to Zaher, He said, "Give me provisions for the way from your preaching." Sheikh Zaher said, "Listen to this word: Since God made you a shepherd, do not act like a wolf. You turn the homes of the people upside down, Just to fashion a golden headstall. You shed people's blood in a hundred places, Just to eat a single morsel, and an unlawful one at that. You are a gleaner in the alley of dervishes; In your beggar-like nature, you are worse than them."
