چنین کرد آن قوی جان نکو عقل
ز خواجه بوعلی فارمد نقل

که مردی را خدا فردا بمحشر
دهد نامه که هین بر خوان و بنگر

چو مرد آن نامه بیند یک دو ساعت
درو نه معصیت بیند نه طاعت

زبان بگشاید و گوید الهی
نوشته نیست در نامه چه خواهی

خطاب آید که من عشاق خود را
بنامه در نیارم نیک و بد را

بدو نیک تو کم انگاشت جبار
بهشت و دوزخی تو هم کم انگار

چو برخیزد بهانه از میانه
تو ما را ما ترا تا جاودانه

وگر اینت نمی باید چه پیچی
همه ما و همه ما پس تو هیچی

وگر وحشی صفت در پیش آئی
دهندت نامه تا با خویش آئی

چو ما را تاب برگ گل نباشد
بهر جزوی حیات کل نباشد

چو باشد پیشوا امی مطلق
نخواهد نامه بر خواندن زنا حق

که چون از نامه گفتی و شنودی
شوی گستاخ از معنی بزودی

English translation

That strong-souled one of sound intellect thus Narrated from Khwaja Abu Ali Farmadi: That on the Day of Resurrection, God will give A man his record of deeds, saying, 'Behold, read and look!' When the man looks at that record for an hour or two, He sees in it neither sin nor obedience. He will open his tongue and say, 'O Lord, Nothing is written in the record, what do You wish?' The divine address will come, 'For My lovers, I do not record their good or evil in a book. The Almighty deemed your good and evil as insignificant; You, too, consider heaven and hell as insignificant. When the excuse is removed from the midst, You are ours, and We are yours, for eternity. And if you do not desire this, why do you twist? All is Us and all is Us, so you are nothing. But if you come forward like a wild beast, They will give you a book so that you come to your senses. Since we cannot bear even a flower petal, The life of the Whole is not in every part. When the leader is the absolute Unlettered One, He will not unjustly read the book. For when you speak and hear of the book, You soon become audacious toward the meaning.'
