(10) The Tale of Iblis

Original content

English translation

Someone asked Iblis: 'O wretched one, Since your accursedness became known to you, Why did you place such a curse upon your soul, And hide it like a treasure in your heart?' He replied: 'That curse is the King's arrow, But first, one must look at the place [where it strikes]. One must first look at the target, Before the arrow is released from the bow. In this moment, you are aware of that arrow; If you have eyes to see, keep your gaze on the Gaze.'
