The Conclusion of the Book

English translation
If speech is higher than the glorious Throne, The lowest step is Farid's poetry. From the celestial realms not a single messenger Will ever say what we have said. I have brought speech to a place Where no one else has any path. I have revealed the breath of Jesus to you, Like the morning, I have shown the white hand from a breath. From the many gardens that are my memorial, The world is as adorned as the Garden of Paradise. Gallant men, for many nights until day, Will have their hearts illuminated by my gardens. He who used to boast of his own words, Breathing from a pure heart like the morning; If he had lived until my time, He would have died when he looked upon this. Yes, when the sun appears, Not a speck of value remains for the morning. Since the sea of my poetry has turned out perfectly, Thousands of springs have poured onto the shore. Since the sea of my eye on every edge Brings forth a spring at every moment. Of these, one spring is the lofty sun, Which has thrown the world in its place. If it did not draw help from the sea of my poetry, You would never have cut a head with your own sword. On Resurrection Day, the sun will turn dark, But this eternal poetry will remain bright. For even in Paradise, the heart-illuminating houris Will sing it every day with the melody of love. Since my poetry is entirely pure monotheism, If you recite it in Paradise, what fear is there? I have opened the door to the divine treasure, And I have named this Elahi Nameh (The Book of God). The great ones who are in the seven heavens Read Attar's Elahi Nameh. From the pride of this book I possess kingship, For Elahi Nameh is by divine grace. Anew, every hour He sends me a soul, Every breath He sends a feast from the unseen. Since I am a consumer of daily provision from the unseen, Why should I be bound to every helpless one? A heart softened by divinely inspired knowledge Will not desire warmed-up food. I am like a wild beast in a corner, without anyone, From the world, the manliness of Hamza is enough for me. Since this wild one is restless for Hamza, What business do I have with Hamza and the wild one? Since I am confined on this turquoise roof, In the world, one house is enough for me. What will I do with the length and breadth of the world, The blue of the sky and the earth of the world? The kingdom I have is pleasing to me, And if I need anything, it is wild rue. Since I am a king in the kingdom of contentment, I can forever do whatever I wish.
