پسر گفتش بگو تا جادوئی چیست
که نتوانم دمی بی شوق آن زیست
چو سحرم این چنین محبوب آمد
چرا نزدیک تو معیوب آمد
مرا از سر سحرآگاه گردان
پس آنگه با خودم همراه گردان
English translation
The son said to him, 'Tell me what magic is, For I cannot live a single moment without longing for it. Since magic has become so beloved to me, Why has it appeared flawed to you? Make me aware of the secret of magic, And then make me companion to myself.'
