Section 3 - On the Virtue of the Commander of the Faithful Abu Bakr al-Siddiq

Original content

English translation

The leader of the people of religion, the first sovereign, The Commander of the Faithful, the most excellent Siddiq. The successor of the sphere of truthfulness, the Siddiq, He was, in truth, the rightful master of the Caliphate. When he caught a scent of the Prophet's spiritual poverty, He surrendered everything, keeping nothing but a simple blanket. From deep gnosis, he had no concern for speech; From this, you can measure his eating and sleeping. Day and night, silence was his practice, And his thoughts were beyond both worlds. He was the first who proved worthy of the Caliphate, For he is the Siddiq, and his dawn arose true. If anyone saw the Caliphate as the morning, Before him, the false dawn would have breathed its last. When that morning of lights shone upon the world, The stars constantly took on its hue. Since his companions are like stars, They are of the same color as the morning light in their perfection. Through his light, the monotheist became close to God, For in the morning, the star is of the same color. Yet, in truth, no one knows anyone Who is like the Siddiq to that true dawn. The Siddiq is worthy of the morning light, For while they are stars, he is the true morning. Therefore, know for certain here that those who exist And worship the Truth, do so by the light of the true morning. The Prophet has said that if the faith of the Siddiq Were weighed in truth against the faith [of others], It would outweigh the faith of all creation; So it is best that he who is foremost comes first. Just as Abraham was the father of the nation, His truthfulness was made manifest by the Quran. Since he became the most excellent and the father of the faith, He received the title of Siddiq and became renowned.
