الا یا غافل افتاده از راه
بخواهی مرد غافل وار ناگاه
به غفلت می گذاری زندگانی
دریغا گر چنین غافل بمانی
به بوی زندگی عمری دویدی
ولیک از زندگی بویی ندیدی
به حسرتها چو چشمت راه یابد
نگونساری خویش آنگاه یابد
مثال زندهٔ دنیی بماندی
تو بی معنی همه دعوی بماندی
English translation
O heedless one who has strayed from the path, You will suddenly die like the heedless. You are spending your life in negligence; Alas if you remain so heedless! You ran a lifetime for the scent of life, But you caught no scent of true life. When your eyes open to regrets, Then they will see your downfall. You have remained like the worldly living, Devoid of meaning, you have remained nothing but claims.
