بخش ۱ - المقاله الثالثه فی فضیلت اصحابه / Section 1 - The Third Discourse on the Virtue of His Companions

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

نخستین قدوهٔ دار الخلافهجهان صدق و پور بوقحافه
The first exemplar of the abode of the Caliphate,
The world of truthfulness and the son of Abu Quhafa.
اساس دین حق بنیاد تحقیقنیابت دار شاه شرع صدیق
The foundation of the true religion, the basis of realization,
The deputy of the king of Islamic law, al-Siddiq.
سپهر صدق را خورشید انورچراغ اولیا صدیق ابوبکر
The radiant sun of the sphere of truthfulness,
The lamp of the saints, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq.
شریعت را نخستین قره العینرفیق مصطفی و ثانی اثنین
The first delight of the eyes for the Sharia,
The companion of Mustafa and the second of the two.
شراب شرع چون جوشی بجوشیدبامنا و صدقنا بنوشید
When the wine of the law began to boil,
He drank it with 'we believed and we affirmed.'
نخستین جام حکمت نوش او کردز دست مصطفی سر جوش او خورد
He was the first to drink the cup of wisdom,
He drank its first draft from the hand of Mustafa.
نبی را در امامت پیش رفتهتوانگر آمده درویش رفته
He preceded the Prophet in leading the prayer,
He arrived wealthy and departed as a dervish.
چو حق در گوش جان او ندا کردهر آنچش بود با دختر فدا کرد
When the Truth called into the ear of his soul,
He sacrificed all he had, along with his daughter.
چو درباخت آنچ بودش  زر و سیمیبساخت ازمال دنیا با گلیمی
When he gave away whatever gold and silver he possessed,
He settled for a coarse cloak from the wealth of the world.
زهی بینندگی و پاک بازیولیکن نیست صدیقی به بازی
Bravo to such insight and pure devotion,
But being a Siddiq (truthful one) is no child's play.
مخالف گو بیا بر خوان و بشناسستدعون الی قوم اولی باس
Tell the opponent: come, read, and understand,
'You shall be called against a people possessed of great might.'
ز اول روز تا روز قیامتنبی در حق او کرده کرامت
From the first day until the Day of Resurrection,
The Prophet has honored him with miracles.
در اول هم دم او در هر اندوهچه در شهر و چه در غار و چه در کوه
In the beginning, his close companion in every sorrow,
Whether in the city, in the cave, or on the mountain.
در اوسط نایب خاص نخستینپیمبر را نیابت کرده در دین
In the middle, the first special deputy,
Acting as the Prophet's deputy in religion.
در آخر در بر او خفته در خاکزهی پیر و مرید و چست وچالاک
In the end, sleeping beside him in the dust,
Bravo to such a spiritual guide and disciple, alert and agile!
