Section 2 - The Tale and the Parable

Original content

English translation

A wise man went to an elder in China, Saying, 'Inform us about the truth.' That elder of the spiritual path answered him, 'There are ten parts in the meaning of truth. I will tell you if you listen well; One is speaking little, and nine are silence. Because of silence, the falcon rests on the hands of kings, While the nightingale remains in a cage because of its song. If your soul becomes accustomed to keeping quiet, Every single atom will speak to you. Like a spring, how long will you be boiling? For you will become an ocean if you remain silent. In this ocean, whoever found a way to the pearl, Had to hold their breath for the diving.'
