Section 13 - The Tale and the Parable

Original content

English translation

There was a pious woman whose husband went on a journey, She had neither a husband nor suitable provisions. Someone said to her, 'In loneliness and destitution, With neither bread nor gold, how are you managing?' The woman said to him, 'I am not alone, For I am in the proximity of my Lord. My daily sustenance is provided better without a husband, For the consumer of sustenance has gone, and the Provider of sustenance is here.' You, O man, appear lesser than a woman, You are like this, so why do you question and complain? The unworthiness and worthiness of you and me, This desire for 'more' and these 'needs' of you and me are a calamity.
