English translation

The Emir said, 'Who is he that he should throw a stone At our jug and break the jug? When a male lion passes through my alley, It passes fearfully, with a hundred cautions. Why did he vex the heart of our servant, And make us ashamed before our guests? He spilled a drink that is better than his blood; At this moment he has fled from us like women. But how shall he carry his soul safe out of my hands? Suppose he flies aloft like a bird, I will strike his wing with the arrow of my wrath, I will pluck off his wretched wings and feathers. If he should go into hard rock to escape my efforts, I will drag him out from the heart of the rock. I will inflict such a blow upon his body That it may be a warning to scoundrels. He is hypocritical with everyone, and with us too? I will give him and a hundred like him their due this very moment!' His bloodthirsty anger had become highly rebellious; Fire was coming out of his mouth.
